Project Management Subject Matter Expert
Karen started as a PM practitioner in the 1980s, and continued as a PM leader and educator in the 2000s. She worked in portfolio management and project management for a number of Fortune 500 companies. Karen now specializes in project management training and customized course development. She is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the M.S. Project Management program at St. Mary’s University, and develops and teaches PM and leadership seminars for the University of Minnesota, as well as government and corporate clients. Karen also served as Program Manager for Certification for PMI-MN. Dr. Rainford’s dissertation was entitled “Understanding How Faculty Integrate Peer Assessment in Project Management Education.
