As you may already be aware, PMI recently announced that starting in late Q4 2026, live instructor-led PMP® certification training will only be eligible to meet the 35-hour education requirement if it’s delivered by a PMI Authorized Training Partner (ATP), a China REP, or an eligible accredited academic program. PMI is also launching an updated PMP exam on July 9, 2026. You can find more information about the new PMP exam requirements on PMI’s website. 

Given these changes, we’ve made the difficult decision to discontinue The CertWise® Learning System for PMP® Exam Preparation. Please know this wasn’t an easy decision. We dedicated significant effort to assessing whether there’s a viable path forward for this program, but the cost of updating it, combined with continued uncertainty around PMI’s rules, left us without a sustainable path forward. 

To support you and your learners through the transition, here are the key dates: 

  • June 15, 2026: Last day to order CertWise PMP materials.
  • June 30, 2026: Recommended final CertWise PMP class session. Since PMI’s updated PMP exam takes effect on July 9, 2026, and CertWise materials are aligned to the current exam, we encourage you to schedule classes accordingly.
  • June 15, 2026: A change document outlining differences between the current and updated PMP exams will be available through the online Resource Center for all learners with an active license.
  • July 1, 2027: The online product will be discontinued. This timing ensures all learners receive their full 12-month access period.

Why is the CertWise® Learning System for PMP® being discontinued?

PMI changed its rules so that live, instructor-led PMP prep courses only count toward the required 35 education hours when delivered by a PMI Authorized Training Partner (ATP) using PMI’s own course materials, which means CertWise materials can no longer be used to deliver qualifying training. PMI is also launching an updated PMP exam on July 9, 2026. After careful review, we determined there isn’t a sustainable path forward for the program, so we made the difficult decision to discontinue it.

Can our school or organization still order CertWise PMP materials?

Education partners can place orders through June 15, 2026. We strongly encourage providers to complete their training by June 30, 2026.

When should classes wrap up?

We recommend that education providers hold their final class session using CertWise materials no later than June 30, 2026. PMI’s updated exam takes effect on July 9, 2026, and CertWise materials are built for the current exam.

Will the education hours earned utilizing CertWise materials count toward PMP eligibility?

You’ll have access to the online product for your full 12-month license period.
